Since childhood, I have always enjoyed being creative. I loved to draw, paint and create make believe floor plans for homes. Growing up in the Building industry also saw me develop a fascination for houses, leading me to consider a career in Architecture. However, I felt this path was not for me. Instead, I completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2010, followed by a Bachelor of Management in 2011 at the University of Canberra.

Once I completed my studies I moved to my favourite place, London. While there, I realised that I wanted to do a job I loved each day. When I returned to Canberra, this saw me enrol into an Advanced Diploma of Interior Design at the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT), graduating in 2015.

My career as an Interior Designer has been varied. I have worked in commercial, multi-disciplinary and residential design firms, as well as in styling and decorating roles. I have even gone back to CIT as a teacher, assisting students on their own paths to a career in design. In 2019, having worked in the industry for several years, I decided it was time to take the next step. This saw me start my own design firm, Elysian Fields Interiors.

In Greek mythology, the ‘Elysian Fields’ are a divinely inspired realm. This perfect place is said to be full of beauty, harmony and happiness. I believe that everyone should be able to come home to a space they love and this is why I offer an array of services to suit various budgets, lifestyles and stages in people’s lives. I am passionate about design and receive a great deal of enjoyment from what I do. I would love the opportunity to work with you and see your design dreams, become a reality!
